The concluding single of Ghost Box's Study Series is due for release on 16th October. Belbury Poly collaborate with Brighton based cabaret electronics trio, Spacedog on two tracks that explore their overlapping areas of interest. The results are haunted by Jenny Angliss's mannered vocals, Sarah Angliss's elegant theremin and electronics and Jim Jupp's dusty analogue synths.

It has the usual luxurious Julian House designed packaging and comes in heavyweight vinyl. Available on 7" or download,  PRE-ORDER NOW from the Ghost Box shop. (Ghost Box shop customers ordering the 7" will be entitled to a free download version on the release date.)

Spacedog and Listening Center next on Study Series

Two new Ghost Box Study Series singles are planned for early 2013. One will be a collaboration between Belbury Poly and Brighton's remarkable cabaret-folk-automata-electronics performers, Spacedog . The other is from Listening Center, the work of  New York based composer, David Mason. This single will also feature a Listening Centre remix by Pye Corner Audio.

Until then you can enjoy the excellent new Listening Centre album, Example One, DL only at the moment from iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp.

Study Series 08: "Inversions"

In the next single in the Study Series, The Advisory Circle cover Wildpsot, a tune taken from the first Belbury Poly album, The Willows and Belbury Poly re-imagine a more recent Advisory Circle piece called Now Ends the Beginning. The results are bright, light and naggingly familiar.

Available now on 7" and download.

Autumnal Activities and Way of The Morris

First of all a reminder that Study Series No. 7 "Autumnal Activities" by Pye Corner Audio (feat. The Advisory Circle) is released today. Its in the Ghost Box shop and many of the usual stockists now on 7" vinyl or download.

Secondly there's the exciting news that Jonny Trunk has set up a sister label to Trunk Records. Its called OST and it will be dedicated to contemporary scores and soundtracks. Jonny kindly sent the first release to the vicarage.

Its Adrian Corker's beautiful soundtrack to a new documentary film called Way of the Morris by Tim Plester. A delicate blend of electronics, traditional instruments and field recordings its not at all what you might expect. It also features performances from amongst others, the Adderbury Village Morris Men and Chris Leslie of Fairport Convention. Highly recommended.
