Gorgeous wintry electronics. A Rest Before the Walk blends the radiophonic atmosphere of bygone TV horrors with an icy, digital folk sensibility.
The fourth self-released album from pscycho geographical electronics investigator Keith Seatman. This outing was inspired by walks and sessions at the Devon studio of folk singer Douglas E. Powell, who provides vocals on two tracks here (Powell's new album Good Men Get Lost at Sea also comes highly recommended)
The album has been getting extensive airplay on BBC6 music. Its officially released next week but there's a batch available in the Ghost Box Guest Shop right now.
It’s far from easy listening, but it washes over you like a fever dream and captivates the senses.
